PAST EVENT: UK reactions to the 2007 ACRL Environmental Scan: Seminar and LIRG AGM

At the LIRG AGM, the Student Prize for 2008 was presented to Joanna Bryant. The 2007 LIRG Elsevier Research Award winner Jacqueline Chelin (University of the West of England) outlined her research on "E-Book usage".
The seminar was an exploration of some of the major assumptions shaping practice in academic library and information services based on the Environmental Scan published by the Association of College and Research Libraries research committee in 2008. See:

A panel of Sheila Cannell, (Director of Library and Collections (University of Edinburgh), Chris Powis (Deputy Director of Academic Services University of Northampton) and Gary Horrocks (Deputy Director, Customer Services King's College London) gave their reaction to the 2007 ACRL Scan. Scott Walter (Associate University Librarian, University of Illinois, USA and Chair of the ACRL Research Committee 2007-2009) spoke via video conference link from the USA.
