Dear Colleagues

Welcome to Issue No 24 of 'School Libraries in View'. We (as the School Libraries Group (SLG)) have decided to continue publishing the journal online. Among the advantages are cost and the ability to accommodate picture, video and sound file. We hope that the multi-media feature will be popular.

This issue features articles on staffing in independent schools, the exciting Read a Million Words in Wales initiative in the Flintshire LEA, categorisation of fiction and censorship in teenage reading.

My thanks as usual to all the contributors to this issue and to our sponsors, MicroLibrarian Systems. I would like to point out that in this issue as in all issues of 'SLiV' views expressed are those of the authors and not of the SLG of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP).
