Eurotoolbox Exhibition now available for your library
Eurotoolbox is organised by Eurolis, a group of librarians formed by Cilip members in association with the Head Librarians of the French, German, Italian, and Spanish Institutes and the Education Department of the Portuguese Embassy, in London.
Eurotoolbox 2008/2009 is the 3rd edition of an exhibition for public children's librarians, school librarians, special librarians, and any librarians who want to know more about meeting users' needs for material in western European languages.
The exhibition consists of five specially chosen brand new collections of children's and youth literature from Europe in the original language (French, German, Italian, Portuguese, or Spanish, between 15 and 20 books in each language). The authors and illustrators selected represent some of the very best in children's book production in these languages. The books could be displayed in staff or public areas.
The exhibition is free to borrow for two weeks at a time between November 2008 and July 2009, and each library has to organise transportation to the next borrower. The exhibition is packed in three boxes and the total weight about 30kg.
Librarians who wish to book a time slot are invited to contact David Carrion at the Spanish Institute, Instituto Cervantes, mailto:biblon@cervantes.es?subject=Eurotoolbox, tel: 020 7201 0757
