Literary archives are the theme of the 2008 Annual Conference of the British Records Association, held in association with the British Library.
The morning session includes talks by Nat Edwards of the NLS on the John Murray Archive and Sarah Lawrance of Seven Stories, the Centre for Children's Books. Over lunch there will be a BL Conservation Workshop before the afternoon sessions - a GLAM Panel Discussion and a BL presentation on new collections and new technologies at the British Library. Professor Zachary Leader will bring the conference to an end with a talk on the archives of Kingsley Amis and Saul Bellow.
The day formally ends with the Maurice Bond Memorial Lecture to be given by Bamber Gascoigne. This lecture is free and open to the public subject to registering interest with the BRA. |
