Seminar leader: Anna Grigson, Assistant Digital Resources Librarian – University of Westminster
This session is for anyone who has to write content that will go on a web page. The session will be a mix of presentations and some practical writing exercises, but there will be no hands-on computer work and you don’t need to know how to programme web pages. It will cover: the differences between writing for print and writing for the web, finding an appropriate writing style for the web, writing for your audience, structuring your content, writing different types of content, including news, service guides and instructions. By the end of this session you’ll be able to apply some simple techniques which you can use to give your writing more impact, and improve the quality of your website.
Pre-payment is requested. Please make cheques payable to Career Development Group Lon & SE Divs.
Cancellations received less than 14 days before each Seminar will not receive a refund.
