Dear Colleagues,
It is my great pleasure to invite you to join me at CILIP Members’ Day on Thursday 18th October.
As usual there will be a full programme of events, which offer a great opportunity to get involved in the work of the Institute. You can catch up on new developments at the workshops and briefing sessions, and extend your professional networks by meeting new (and old) friends. The ceremony to award Fellowships is also a great way to celebrate the Profession’s achievements during the past year.
In my Presidential Address I will be setting out my vision for the Profession, and I hope to be able to discuss it with as many members as possible on the day.
This year’s AGM will be the most significant since CILIP’s foundation, and you really should be there to participate in the discussion before the formal votes that are needed to bring about the ‘new’ CILIP which will result from the work of the Governance Task Force, and its Implementation Group.
So I urge you to make a date to come along on the 18th, as part of your commitment to CILIP and its future.
Ian Snowley
