Metadata plays an increasingly important role in the effective performance of e-learning services. It provides a key to retrieval and management of e-learning resources.
Benefits of attending
Participants will be able to improve their management of e-learning resources, create strategies for improving retrieval and gain improved buy-in from tutors and students.
By the end of the event participants will:
have a clear understanding of the role of metadata in e-learning services
explore ways of improving the retrieval of learning objects
learn about standard encoding schemes and vocabularies used in e-learning
practice developing their own encoding schemes
