This new course has been developed in order to look at some of the more complex aspects of copyright law.

Participants are encouraged to send in any complex copyright problems in advance in order to get the maximum benefit out of the course.

Benefits of attending
By the end of the course participants will have a better understanding of copyright law. They will be well placed to ensure copyright compliance when they copy material, regardless of content type. Participants will know what rights a copyright owner has and how some or all of those rights can be assigned to someone else. They will also know how the rights-owner controls the use of their work using business models such as Creative Commons.

Who should attend?
Anyone who wants to deepen their understanding of copyright law. A natural follow-up to the Copyright for beginners course, enabling delegates to take their copyright knowledge to the next stage.
The course is also designed to complement the one-day Digital copyright course.
