The session will cover: 
  • why copyright exceptions are of limited use to workplace librarians 
  • the distinction between copying for a commercial and non-commercial purpose 
  • licensing as a way of expanding permissible copying 
  • licenses available for the workplace sector

Participants will be given a number of pointers to copyright guidance that is available, as well as some practical tips and suggestions for keeping within the law

Suitable for those with a basic understanding of current copyright law. A useful refresher for people wanting to catch up on recent changes to the law, such as the implementation of the Gowers review recommendations.
