An advanced course for researchers who want to refine their skills, new for this year and developed in response to participants' feedback in 2007. A unique course that allows you to research your own topic of interest on the day.
Benefits of attending:
Participants will be able to develop their own research project plan and be able to prepare reports and present their findings.
By the end of the event participants will have:
- defined the aims of the research and research questions
- identified the research methodology / strategy
- identified Internet and print resources
- understand the complex use of Boolean operators
- created references and a bibliography
Who should attend?
Anybody in an information role who is required to undertake in-depth desk research.
Special notes: a pre-course questionnaire will need to be sent to participants, to be returned no later than 14 days before the start of the course.
