Good communication skills are invaluable for the library and information professional. This course explores the medium of online environment, showing participants how to communicate effectively within the online environment.

Benefits of attending
Participants will gain practical experience in creating new material to target their online audience as well as learning how to adapt and re-purpose content from other mediums to work effectively online.

By the end of the course participants will: 
  • identify the steps within any workflow and/or scenario 
  • create a writing plan and test instructions 
  • communicate instructions simply and effectively with words and images

Who should attend?
Anyone who wants to learn about and apply these techniques, particularly staff with an interest in promoting projects and services online.

Special notes: all sessions require a high level of involvement and participation. Participants are welcome to bring along material or scenarios they would like to work on.
