In the creative and innovative environment of Web 2.0 there is great potential integrating e-content with hard copy collections within the library catalogue. This could eventually result in self-service document delivery and interlibrary loans by the end-users using Open URLs and authentication software.
Benefits of attending
This one-day course will help you not only understand your collections better but also give you the tools to make the most of these as well as those of other libraries to provide a more effective and efficient service to your users.
By the end of the event participants will have:
- learned about the tools for integrated searching
- identified ways of managing a resource sharing gateway to the world of information
- explored the pros and cons of Open URLs and authentication
This will be a highly participative and practical day.
