This is a practical workshop for those wishing to facilitate meetings or workshops.

Benefits of attending
This workshop is to enable participants to facilitate - encouraging and aiding the workshop/meeting to share information and ideas and (perhaps) come to a decision.

By the end of the course participants will be able to:
  • define facilitation
  • state the 3 golden rules of being a facilitator
  • prepare in advance to facilitate a forum, setting objectives
  • manage introductions in a way appropriate to the size of the group
  • open the forum to the group
  • use basic questioning and paraphrasing skills
  • manage problem behaviours
  • manage feedback and record the forum without diluting or debasing contribution
  • distinguish between the 3 methods for asking an agreement in a group
  • define consensus
  • promote decision making
