Dealing with the failing performance of a team member is a challenge to any manager. While guidance and help from others is valuable, the power that every team leader has to influence and change their staff’s attitude and behaviour is often underestimated.
Benefits of attending
This one-day workshop will help participants identify and deal confidently with the failing performers in their teams through the use of their own resources and skills.
By the end of the course participants will be able to:
- identify effective motivators
- improve performance through development and recognition
- encourage staff to produce ideas for their own development
- provide constructive feedback
- tackle failure positively
Who should attend?
Senior library and information staff who are responsible for managing and developing staff.
The day will be practical, participative and supportive.
