The LAI/CILIP Ireland Annual Joint Conference will take place in the Tullamore Court Hotel, Tullamore, Co. Offaly from the evening of Wednesday 29th to Friday 31st March 2017.
The programme this year explores our connection with users. Should we watch rather than listen? We are facing unprecedented technological change and our speakers will challenge us to be dynamic and innovative delivering quality services with our users central to the development of our services.
Speakers include Andy Priestner, Librarian/Freelance Consultant in UX, teambuilding and leadership,Jukka Relander (Finnish Library Service) President EBLIDA and Kate Kelly, Director of Library Services, RCSI.

The Conference Committee invites you to submit a poster presentation regarding the themes of this year’s conference. Perhaps this could be a chance for you to highlight a service your library does, or distill your knowledge on one topic into a poster. Possible themes include:
- Dynamic Libraries
- Libraries and Change
- Innovation in Libraries
- Innovative Library Services
- Connecting with the User
- User Experience (UX)
- User-oriented libraries/library services
If you wish to submit a poster and your theme is not listed, please feel free to contact Mark at email@example.com to discuss further.
- Deadline for the receipt of the hard copy poster is Thursday 23rd March
- Posters should be A0 (84.1 x 118.9cm, 33.11 x 46.81 inches)
- Posters should be laminated
- Posters may not have been exhibited previously
- Multiple people may collaborate on one poster
- Posters must be the entrant’s own work and the services of commercial graphic designers cannot be used
- The prize for best poster is a €100 One-For-All voucher
