Grants and bursaries

CILIP members have opportunities to apply for grants, bursaries and awards such as the IFLA first timer grant and the Travelling Librarian Award. Visit the web pages of CILIP's Special Interest Groups and Regional Member Networks to find out about grants they offer.

  • Aspire Award

    The CILIP Aspire Award helps new professionals with their professional development. In 2016 the winner will receive a bursary to attend the annual CILIP Conference.

    The Conference takes place in Brighton on 12 and 13 July. The bursary will pay for the conference fee, travel from within the UK and accommodation.

    Entries have now closed and the winner will be announced in mid-June.

  • John Campbell Trust

    The John Campbell Trust furthers the education and development of information professionals through grants, scholarships, research or travel awards.

  • Devolved Nation and Member Network grants and bursaries

    CILIP’s Devolved Nations and Member Networks have a number of bursaries to help our members with the financial costs of attending events and working on their Continuous Professional Development.

  • Travelling Librarian Award

    Apply now for the £3,000 travelling award to the US or Commonwealth.

    The English-Speaking Union (ESU) and CILIP invite applications for the 2017 Travelling Librarian Award. The deadline for applications is Wednesday 26 April 2017.
