Effectively managed knowledge is one of the greatest resources modern organisations possess – and information professionals, with their expertise and understanding of their organisation’s working needs, are well positioned to take the lead.
The concepts and theories of Knowledge Management (KM) are essential when interacting with senior management and other key stakeholders but doing KM is intensely practical. Knowledge Managers must find out what will work for their organisation and discovering new ways to engage work colleagues will be challenging and fun.

Dion Lindsay has a wealth of case studies and lessons from KM strategies and practice designed for rapidly expanding and ambitious enterprises, and is experienced in growing KM programmes both from scratch and from Library and Information Units. He has designed and implemented effective KM and IM strategies for major charities (Amnesty International, Macmillan Cancer Relief) and regulatory bodies and membership organisations (General Social Care Council, International Bureau for Fiscal Documentation). The author of books on Business Intelligence and Social Media Governance he designs KM strategies and programmes which engage stakeholders and staff, with demonstrable results. His expertise in running workshops will ensure you leave with KM plans and ambitions you believe in and can sell to your fund-holders and practitioners alike.
Cost (including lunch, refreshments and course documentation): UKeiG/CILIP members £180 + VAT; others £220 + VAT. Credit and dedbit cards are the preferred method of payment, or you can request an invoice using the online booking form.
UKeiG accepts bookings through the 'Book Now' link provided on this page. If you request an invoice online one will be emailed to you in advance of the course. Cancellations received less than 7 working days before the start of the course will be subject to the full fee. For non-attendance at a course there will be no refunds and the full fee will be payable. Substitutions may be made at any time without additional cost.
A cancellation fee of £25.00 + VAT is payable.
UKeiG reserves the right to cancel a course if insufficient bookings have been received. Delegates will be offered an alternative date or a full refund of the course fee. We advise all delegates not to make any firm travel arrangements until we have contacted to you with further details of the event. UKeiG will not be liable for any consequential loss of travel or accommodation fees due to cancellation of the course.
