Course outline and topics
The morning session covers the golden rules of creating presentations, finding amazing images without breaking copyright laws or spending any money, and creating PowerPoint presentations in three different styles. The three styles vary in complexity and flexibility, so you can choose which to use for a given presentation.
The afternoon introduces Prezi (a zooming presentation tool), Microsoft’s Sway (“PowerPoint on Steroids”) and Kahoot (an interactive quiz tool), covering when and when not to use them, and how to use them most effectively.
The final section of the day centres around researching presentations, delivering talks and teaching, and conquering nerves.
By the end of the course you will be able to:
- Effectively present to a diverse audience
- Create dynamic and interactive presentations using the very latest digital applications
- Seamlessly incorporate images, graphics and video into your content
- Aggregate content from multiple desktop and web-based resources
