Process Improvement for Library and Information Management

What does a typical day consist of for you?  What do you enjoy most?  When was the last time you had the opportunity to truly reflect about how you go about your day-to-day work?  Have you considered how you could streamline or ‘fix’ your processes so as to spend less time firefighting, and more time doing your most quality-driven, productive and creative work?

Process improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma have been proven to save up to 20% of the time and costs involved in our day-to-day work.  Although these methodologies originated in the manufacturing industry, Elisabeth Goodman has successfully applied them in service organisations such as Human Resources, IT, Finance and Library and Information Management.

Elisabeth will introduce you to some of the Lean and Six Sigma principles and tools during this 1-hour interactive webinar, so that you can assess if and how they might be useful to you in your work.  The content will be based on what she teaches in the CILIP On-site course: Making the most of your time and resources.
