ARLG East Midlands are pleased to be taking bookings for our next event on Making Educational Escape Rooms. This full day workshop will be led by Andrew Walsh, researcher and library practitioner. You will be making educational escape room style activities.

The day will be hands on, working in groups to create a prototype of an escape room style activity. By the end of the day, you (with your group) will have sketched out an escape room style activity and started to create the puzzles that make up that activity.

The focus of the day will be on showing you a process to follow to create your own educational escape room, backed up by a workbook (60+ pages) on creating educational escape rooms, to take away. Please note that you may not create a finished game but you and your group will have created an early prototype before the end of the day. This workshop is not subject specific but would suit anyone who wants to use this playful approach in their teaching.

Date & time: Friday 23rd November, 2018, 10:00am-4:30pm (registration from 9:30am)

Cost: £85+VAT ARLG or CILIP members, £95+VAT for non-members

Target audience: Those working in FE and HE libraries; staff from other library sectors are also welcome to attend.

We're also offering a sponsored place for an FE (ARLG member) librarian to attend this event
