Effective Presentations – Tips and Tricks

Tuesday 12/02/2019 6.00 - 7.30 p.m.

The Library, Audrey Emerton Building,Eastern Road, Brighton BN2 5BE

Facilitator: Mr Tim Vincent, Senior BSMS Learning Technologist, Knowledge and Library Services, BSUH

This session covers simple ways to make your teaching and training presentations more effective by understanding how the visuals can heighten the impact so that what you are presenting works for you not against you. You’ll learn how to apply evidence-based theories of learning and presenting in realistic, practical ways using tools that are available to you but no-one ever tells you they are there or how to use them! This session is for anyone who wishes to improve the impact of their presenting whatever your level, skill, or experience.

The workshop takes place in Brighton and Sussex NHS Library and Knowledge Service’s dedicated Library/IT Training Room at the Audrey Emerton Building, opposite the Royal Sussex County Hospital.

The workshop is free to CILIP members (CILIP membership number required).

There is a charge of £5.00 + VAT for non-CILIP members.

Tim Vincent has been helping healthcare educators for over 12 years. Coming from a health sciences and education background, he thoroughly enjoys operating at the interface of education theory, medicine, and technology to improve teaching and learning. Presenting and communicating effectively is one of his key areas of interest and is passionate about sharing this with others.
