InfoFest Kent: Diversity in our Libraries is a one day conference for information professionals.

The conference is an opportunity for information professionals from all sectors to identify barriers and solutions to the issues of equality, diversity and inclusivity in their specific working contexts. We want particularly to be able to offer a range of resources so all attendees have something practical they can take with them to use in their work.

We have an exciting range of speakers from a variety of sectors. A full programme will be available soon but includes:

• Diversity and inclusion for school librarians
• Representing LGBTQIA users and workers in libraries
• Diversity and inclusion in public libraries
• Decolonising library collections: towards inclusive collection policies
• Challenging inequalities through information literacy

Our keynote speaker is Dr Kit Heyam. Kit is a transgender awareness trainer, academic researcher and activist.

Tickets at £60.00. Delegate rate includes lunch and refreshments.
