An introduction to the Text Encoding Initiative

This webinar will introduce the Text Encoding Initiative as an XML standard in text-based digital humanities and as a community of digital humanities practitioners. We will go through the principles of text encoding and the basics of XML, and talk about how TEI operates in relationship to library collections and research through example projects from the Cambridge Digital Library and beyond.
