Join CILIP South West for an invigorating, empowering and informative full-day programme of workshops and networking opportunities. 

The day is designed to help you review your current professional life, explore different interests and possibilities, and plan your future under the guidance of leading professionals across a range of information sectors. There will be information and discussion opportunities delivered using multiple formats, from keynote address to 'knowledge cafe', and plenty of opportunities to network with fellow attendees.

This event is suitable for all, regardless of the stage of career. If you would like to develop yourself professionally, and equip yourself with the means to construct a focused, achievable career plan for 2020, then come along on April 21.

There will also be the chance to sign up for a one-to-one CV clinic.

“ Personal Development and Digital Capabilities” Virginia Power, UWE

Understand the digital skills and capabilities that you need as a 21 st century information and knowledge professional. Tools and tips to take away!

“Value and Visibility” Helene Russell, TheKnowledgeBusiness

Understanding the value you bring to your organisation from your users/team’s point of view, to improve the value you offer and your visibility.

“Resilience and coping with change at work” Clare Davis, Nova Associates

A practical, interactive workshop where you will learn techniques to build your resilience, motivating yourself and staying focused when under pressure when change occurs in the workplace.

“CVs and personal branding”

Advice about developing your personal brand and improving your CV.

Each workshop will run twice.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided; as such, please indicate dietary requirements when registering.

This event is being held by CILIP South West in association with the University of the West of England M Sc postgraduate programme in Information Science, part of the Computer Science and Creative Technologies Department. Full course details are available online here.

Cost

All CILIP members should log in with CILIP credentials to ensure the member rate is applied.

The pricing structure is as follows (note that prices do not include VAT at 20%):

Standard ticket

Non-members of CILIP: £95.00

CILIP members: £60.00 

Concessionary ticket (students/retired/unwaged)

Non-members of CILIP: £55.00

CILIP members: £40.00

UWE MSc Information Science: £40.00*

*Ticket price to be subsidised by academic department. UWE students on this programme will be given a promotional code to apply at the point of payment in order to receive the subsidised ticket.

An additional concessionary rate is available to all members of CILIP who are also members of CILIP South West.
