Shadowing the 2020 Carnegie Greenaway Awards

The CILIP Carnegie and Kate Greenaway Shadowing Scheme is a reading for pleasure initiative that engages thousands of children and young people introducing them to different styles of books and genres as they shadow the medal shortlists. Following government advice to close schools and libraries we have been exploring ways that we can bring the Shadowing experience to groups and individuals taking part at home. This webinar will be hosted by Amy McKay, the National Coordinator for the CKG Awards, and will explore how to engage with Shadowing at home and how group leaders can run their groups virtually. Following the launch of an exciting new website with improvements made to the way that Shadowing Groups participate in online activities, this webinar will also provide insights into how to engage online as well as exploring tried and tested techniques to get the most from shadowing. Suitable for experienced and new shadowing group leaders including parents and anyone interested in children's reading development. The session will conclude with an opportunity for you to ask questions.

Find out how to how to engage in online shadowing activity, as well as exploring tried and tested techniques to get the most from participating in the CILIP Carnegie and Kate Greenaway Shadowing Scheme.
