The museum has over 8,000 objects on display, so whether it be medieval gothic armour, an elephant armour, or the famous horned helmet of King Henry VIII, there’ll be something to inspire you. It is an ideal site for exploring topics in history, art and design, English and local history.
13:00 - 13:30 pm A 30 minute guided tour of the War Gallery
13:30 - 14:00pm A bespoke handling session where attendees will have the opportunity to handle some of the artefacts viewed durung the Gallery tour.
After this attendees will have a further opportunity to look around the museum by themselves or network in one of the coffee shops situated on the ground floor or second floor
Photography is permitted within the galleries, however we do ask that you turn your flash off as this damages the artefacts.
Toilets are situated on the 1st, 2nd and 4th floors and there is a disabled toilet on the ground floor.
There is a coffee shop on the ground and second floor, plus a picnic area on the 4th floor of the museum.
You will be given a daily sheet with the day’s events upon arrival.
