We are seeking a new Publicity Officer to start as soon as possible. The incumbent will be responsible for advertising the Group's events, awards, meetings, etc. through social media, email lists, newsletter articles, and for writing articles for our blog. The role holder will also liaise with relevant academic departments to promote the group’s events and awards, as well as CILIP’s Update editor to publish relevant items in the magazine. The Publicity Officer must be a member of the CILIP Library & Information History Group. As a committee member you will be asked to participate in four committee meetings per year, two of which are held online and two in-person. The post would suit someone with some social media and/or marketing experience who is interested in professional development and the history of libraries and information.
