New CILIP structure and strategy from 2019

New CILIP structure and strategy from 2019

Like many organisations in our sector, CILIP has recently carried out a restructure of our internal teams and capacity. This restructure was approved by the CILIP Board in September 2018 with the following aims:

To create a new Plan for 2019 focused on delivering value for members and membership growth;

To provide a balanced budget for 2019 which allows us to deliver on this plan;

To undertake an organisational restructure to reduce our staffing costs while ensuring the delivery of our plan (including benefits for members);

To implement a programme of culture change to re-focus CILIP’s existing organisational culture from being very ‘siloed’ to working as one joined-up team across all four nations of the UK

We appreciate that our members want to be kept informed about developments with your professional association, so we have provided a comprehensive FAQ (including the new organisational structure) to ensure that you are aware of the context for this process and what it means for our work. We will also be providing specific updates for members in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland detailing how we will continue to provide support and member benefits in their area.

CEO, CILIP
