National Shelf Service FAQs

National Shelf Service - FAQs

The National Shelf Service is a daily YouTube broadcast featuring book recommendations from professional librarians available from your local library's e-lending service.

In order to help you make the most of the new National Shelf Service, we've put together this quick guide to joining your local library remotely and accessing their e-resources.

  • Visit your local authority council website where you will find a link to the library service.
  • From the library service website find the link to your library’s e-resources.
  • Here you should find joining information to sign up to the library and access their e-lending services.
  • If you have any problems, you can contact your local library authority directly - they are still working remotely!
