YLG Eastern Training Day : Wellbeing in Children and Young People : How Libraries can help

YLG Eastern Training Day supported by ASCEL 'Wellbeing in Children and Young People : How Libraries can help' at The Library, Saffron Walden County High School, Audley End Road, Saffron Walden, CB11 4UH

Cost: £30 for members £35 for non-members 

This training day will focus on how those working with children and young people can support their mental well-being. The speakers represent a range of perspectives and experiences and will be useful to all those who work with children and young people.

TEF, REF and the Stern Review - What might they all mean for learning development and library staff?

We are honoured to be joined by Dr Amanda French, who will be talking to us about the implications of the TEF, REF and Stern Review on library staff. Dr French is the Head of Professional Development, Research and Enterprise at the School of Education at Birmingham City University. Her talk is designed to be an open discussion session, so please come along and join in for a fascinating afternoon!

Join CILIP East and ARLG Eastern for an afternoon sharing ideas and learning from colleagues across the region. It's open to anyone interested in teaching and technology in libraries and is completely free, including tea and coffee and an optional tour of the Chelmsford Campus library at Anglia Ruskin University. You don't have to be a member of CILIP or ARLG to attend.

ARLG Eastern visit to the English Heritage archive: Archaeological Collections Store

Visit to the Archaeological Collections Store for English Heritage (East) and go behind the scenes with the Collections Archivist. The visit will include a guided tour of the archaeological collections store (led by an EH volunteer) and a discussion (with one of the archivists) about curating the collection, supporting researchers, managing volunteers and other issues.

There is a café and picnic area at Wrest Park.
