UKeiG Conference Grant for Students or Early-Career Professionals

[13 Feb 2015] We are beginning to see a spate of e-mail messages about 2015 conference - calls for papers, early-bird discounts, dates and so on - for conference including LILAC (8-10 April 2015), the CILIP Conference (2-3 July 2015), Internet Librarian International (20-21 October 2015), the NAG Fifth Collection Development Seminar for Academic Libraries (23rd April 2015), Ebooks 2015 at UCL (7th May), and the i3 (information: interactions and impact) Conference at Robert Gordons (23-26 June 2015).

So, it seems timely to remind members about the UKeiG Conference Grant, which offers students or early-career professionals assistance in meeting the costs of a UK or overseas conference within our sector. As it says on the web site, where full details are available, "Nominations should take the form of a letter detailing the justification for, and benefits to be gained from, attending the conference, as well as details of the conference, including date and place, and the costs to be incurred. Additionally, you should provide a letter of support from your university or employer as proof of your status as a full-time student/current position. If you are offering a paper at the conference, a copy of your abstract would help your submission."  We look forward to hearing from you.
