Come along and help us celebrate 80 Years of the Carnegie Medal and 60 Years of the Kate Greenaway Medal! Hear about how the awards work from CKG Coordinator, and School Librarian of the Year, Amy Mckay.

School Librarian Lauren Thow shares her experiences running a Carnegie shadowing Group. Take part in the discussion with Lauren and Amy - have your questions ready!

Former winner Theresa Breslin talks to us about the importance of reading for enjoyment and how winning the award impacted her life as an author.

Author and illustrator Vivian French talks to us about how to judge illustrated books according to the Greenaway criteria.


After all these amazing sessions we will be well equipped to judge Scotland's nominations for CKG 18! We will be discussing a selection of books and you will have the opportunity to vote for your favourite; the winners will become Scotland's nomination. Here is a link to the judging criteria:
