Sat, 18th Apr 2015 - 10:00am to 3:00pm

Programme

Meet Dave Cousins (author of '15 Days Without a Head', 'Waiting for Gonzo' and 'Misfits'); listen to Professor Clare Wood from the Centre for Research In Psychology, Behaviour and Achievement, part of Coventry University talk on 'Developing Emerging Readers'. There will be representatives from Peters E-Platform, Browns E-Books and RM Books to discuss e-books and show you the different platforms.

The afternoon will be made up of a talk by Fiona from The Reading Agency and then discussions as suggested by you. If there is something that you want to discuss then you can suggest them and attendees can sign up to which ever discussions interest them. Unconferences are very informal, and if the discussion isn't useful, there's no obligation to stay.

So whether it's e-books, how to prove impact, how to link to the organisations aims, how to draw out those reluctant readers, encouraging hesitant readers, or something else completely different, come along and discuss with colleagues and experts.

This event is open to anyone with an interest in supporting children's reading. This is a great event for anyone pursuing Accreditation or Chartership as if will support your knowledge of the wider profession.

Bring your own lunch, and bring cake to share, and win a prize if yours is 'Best Dressed'!

This unconference is organised by the Youth Libraries Group Eastern, and supported by the Wendy Drewettt Bequest
