CILIP and FEDIP

What is FEDIP?

CILIP is a founding member of the Federation of Informatics Professionals (FEDIP), a collaboration between the leading professional bodies in health and care informatics, and supports the development of the informatics profession.

FEDIP is proud to offer the only public register for all informatics professionals in the UK dedicated to delivering better health and care through the advanced use of technology.

Becoming a FEDIP Registered practitioner will allow you to easily demonstrate your expertise and gain professional recognition.

CILIP members can join the FEDIP Register here:

FEDIP registration costs £25 per annum and is billed annually in September, separately from your CILIP membership.

If you believe in the value and importance that knowledge and information brings to clinical decision-making and health and care service delivery, you can show your support and raise your professional standing by gaining registered status with FEDIP.

Registration is open to anyone practising anywhere within the health and care informatics spectrum: whether you are a librarian at a trainee hospital or a knowledge manager within a trust, or anywhere in between. If you improve delivery of health and care services through knowledge and information, you can become a FEDIP Registered practitioner.
