For Apprentices
CILIP Pathways provides support and information for the end point assessment process through our apprenticeship network. The network provides a place for you to connect with
other apprentices, ask questions, access resources such as guides and best practice documentation to help you meet the requirements of your end point assessment.
For Employers
As part of the CILIP family of services, we have been involved in the development of apprenticeship Standards in Library, information, archive and knowledge services from day one and passionately believe in the importance of quality, diverse routes
into the library, information and knowledge profession to deliver excellent services both now and in the future.
CILIP has a well-established background in course accreditation and assessment services for individuals. That expertise and drive has informed our input into the development of apprenticeship standards for the sector acting as a key member of
the employer led trailblazer groups. We have used our knowledge of assessment services to create a quality focused end point assessment service for apprenticeship standards called CILIP Pathways.
Visit our Employer Best Practice Guide for more information and support from CILIP on how to manage your apprenticeship programmes.
For Training providers
CILIP accreditation services
CILIP's Professional Knowledge Skills Base (PKSB) is used as the framework for accrediting academic and vocational qualifications and training for the information profession. By choosing a CILIP accredited course, students and learners can feel
confident that the content is high quality and has been tested against the professional standard by an independent assessor.
CILIP accreditation certifies quality learning and delivery as well as relevance to the employment market. The CILIP accreditation scheme is designed to recognise a range of academic courses, modules and continuing professional development (CPD)
activities at all levels.
