New research lightning talksThursday 5 March 2026, 12.30pm - 1.30pmDelivered via Zoom The Library & Information History Group is keen to encourage new membership and to support new research in the field of library and information history. This session will act both as a taster to those who are not sure who we are or what we do (but would like to find out), and will give a platform for students and early career researchers to present new research or work in progress in a supportive and collegial space.

- To give a platform to new research voices in the field of library and information history
- To allow attendees to ask questions, both of the members of the committee, but also through Q&A sessions following each lightning talk

The Library and Information History Group (LIHG) was formed in 1962. It is one of the Chartered Institute for Library and Information Professional's oldest special interest groups and is the only group in the UK specifically devoted to the history of libraries and librarianship.
