The CILIP Employer Partner Scheme is our organisational membership offering for employers. It is a cost-effective way to:

The Premium CILIP Employer Partner Scheme offers a tailored service. It includes all of the above plus in-person account management, an annual workshop for your staff, your organisation’s brand on the CILIP website and a place at our annual industry leaders’ gala networking event. This level is well suited to larger organisations, particularly those keen to encourage staff with Chartership, a demonstrable badge of excellence in the sector.

  • Light-touch training needs analysis survey. We have incorporated the PKSB into an electronic questionnaire. We can provide you with this questionnaire to share with your staff to complete. We will then provide you with the results for your analysis.

Who can join as an Employer Partner?

An organisation engaged in the provision of, or activities relating to the provision of, library, information, knowledge or data services is eligible to apply to join the Employer Partner Scheme on the proviso that it:

  • Is a legal entity in good standing
  • Shares CILIP’s mission to “put library and information skills and professional values at the heart of an equal, democratic and prosperous society.”
  • Supports the values and ethics of the library, information and knowledge profession as set out in CILIP’s Ethical Framework.

Both levels of the Employer Partner Scheme are built upon our belief in the value of professionalism with Chartership as a badge of excellence underpinned by the sector skills standard, the PKSB. We are keen to work with Employers who share these beliefs.
