Salary guides for the library and information sector

Salary guides provide a valuable starting point in your negotiations with your current or future employer.

Salaries in some areas (notably London) may well be graded to recognise local labour market conditions. However, CILIP recommends that all posts should be graded according to the level of responsibility they bear and the level of qualification, skill and experience required.

Provides minimum, average and maximum salaries for London and the rest of the UK legal and financial services; professional services and other commercial; academic, government and healthcare; and local authority, public libraries and third sector.
