Student membership of CILIP is the simplest, most affordable way to stay up-to-date with current developments in the sector, build your network and invest in your professional future.

Eligibility

CILIP Student Membership is open to anyone currently studying Librarianship and Information Science or a related discipline. Students are eligible for the concessionary rate if they are studying on a course accredited by CILIP – the list of accredited courses is herePlease check your course is on this accredited list before selecting the concessionary rate on Joining.  Apprentices on the LAIS Level 3 Apprenticeship Programme are also eligible for the concessionary rate.  If you do sign up for the concession rate and don’t qualify, then we will need to charge you the difference.  Our full list of membership rates and criteria is here.
