CILIP Governance

Governance

Our governing body is the CILIP Board. The Board is the decision making body that governs the work of the organisation and sets its priorities. There are 12 Board Members elected by the members and up to three other people can also be co-opted. The co-opted Board Members must be CILIP members.

The Presidential Team works alongside the board, supporting and promoting the work of CILIP to make sure the organisation is well governed.

Our unique Royal Charter describes our purpose and Byelaws detail the rules under which we operate. Every member signs up to our ethical principles and code of professional conduct.

Here you can find out more about how we're governed, how to join the Board and our code of conduct and ethical principles.
