Copyright; Come and play the Game

Come and play the “Copyright Card Game” V2  with Jane Secker in Cardiff. Playing the game is a fun way of providing you with an overview of UK copyright law.

The game designed by Jane and Chris Morrison covers the types of works that are covered by copyright and usages that are protected by copyright law. It also focuses on exceptions to the law and licences that allow you to, for example distribute materials to students for teaching purposes.

You will have opportunities in teams to explore common scenarios and to test out your understanding of the law in the final round of the game.

There will also be time to ask questions about using the game in your own teaching and how it can enliven copyright training sessions.

Places are limited and must be booked and paid for in advance.

Dr Jane Secker is Senior Lecturer in Educational Development at City Univerairy.  London and the former Copyright and Digital Literacy Advisory at LSE where she provided advice and support for staff and students.  She is Chair of the CILIP Information Literacy Group and the author of several books, including Copyright and E-learning a guide for Practitioners.  The second edition of this book was published June 2016, co-authored with Chris Morrison.
