Starting on Ipswich Waterfront we will visit three libraries each with their own distinct character.
As one of the newest Universities in the country the University of Suffolk Library had adopted a flexible and adaptable approach to service delivery and support. During our visit we will have a tour of the library and hear about current and future projects.
A short walk across the road is Suffolk New College, here we will visit The Learning Curve serving the needs of FE Students, we will have a tour of the Learning Curve and find out more about it.
A short stroll into town will lead us to Ipswich Central Library where we will look around the building, learn more about how Suffolk Libraries operates as a Charity and how the library engages with the community it serves.
At the end of our visits there is the option to head back toward the Waterfront via St Peters Street for refreshments.

3.45 - Optional - Tea at Applaud Café, St Peters Street (on the way to station for those who have come by train)
Getting to Ipswich
Rail
Ipswich is the main London to Norwich line and there is a frequent service from London, Chelmsford and Colchester. An hourly service is available from Cambridge.
From Peterborough there is a 2-hour service directly to Ipswich, via Ely, Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket.
The University is a 15 minute walk from the station.
