ARLG: Library Staff Learning & Development: sharing of ideas event, including AGM

Join us for a FREE afternoon sharing ideas for Staff Learning and Development and networking with colleagues from across the Eastern Region.

This event is presented by the CILIP Academic & Research Libraries Group (Eastern Division) and is an ideal opportunity to meet up with other library professionals.

All are welcome, however you must book your place in advance.

Programme

13:00-13:30 – A tour of West Suffolk College - Visit our small but perfectly formed library. Last reorganised in 2014 and containing around 25k books it serves around 10000 students studying on a diverse range of courses and levels. (Maximum of 20 places are available). 13:30-13:55 – Refreshments – have a hot drink and biscuits on us!

13:55-14:15 – CILIP ARLG Eastern AGM – join the ARLG Eastern committee to reflect on the past year and their exciting plans for the future!

14:15-15:15 – Library Staff Development: informal sharing of ideas – an opportunity to present informally things you’ve tried in your organisation and hear what’s worked in other institutions big and small. Slides or not, the choice is yours! Micro-presentations of 9 minutes. (If you would like to present, please get in touch - arlgeastern@gmail.com )

15:15-15:30 - Q&A and networking – members of the CILIP ARLG Eastern committee will be available for any questions you may have about their work.
