Mentor Exchange of Experiences

Tuesday 5th March, 2:30 - 5pm

This is an informal meeting where mentors can catch up with each other and share experiences, problems and successes, hosted by Maureen Pinder, the Yorkshire & Humberside Mentor Support Officer. You are very welcome to come along, whether you're new to mentoring, considering becoming a mentor, or have already mentored several candidates.

Arrive at 2:30pm if you want to join the optional tour of the Sheila Silver Library. The meeting itself will be 3 - 5pm, followed by networking drinks at a local hostelry for those who would like to come.

Agenda:

1.  Introductions
2.  An update on any recent changes to Professional Registration / CILIP VLE + Portfolio
3.  How can I tell if my candidate will pass?  Maureen will talk about her experiences of giving a second opinion on failed submissions.
4.  Q+A session on any issues you bring to the meeting.

Please email Maureen on m.j.pinder@bradford.ac.uk to book a place at the meeting. Feel free to suggest topics you’d like added to the agenda, so that we make sure we cover what you want.
