Practical Cataloguing Webinar 1: Introduction to MARC21 Cataloguing

This webinar will introduce the basics of MARC21 cataloguing. During the webinar the key MARC21 fields will be explored and explained. There will then be a practical demonstration of original cataloguing using the fields to reinforce the theoretical knowledge. Example texts will be circulated to all participants so they may follow along in real time or after the session is completed.

Will Peaden is the Chair of the Metadata and Discovery Group. He is currently the Head of Content and Discovery at Coventry University and sits on the UK Committee on RDA and the BIC Metadata Special Interest Group.
