Practical Cataloguing Webinar 5: Introduction to MarcEdit

Date: Wednesday 12th November 2025, 1-2 pm

Presenter: Ceilan Hunter-Green

Follow along with data transformations in this introduction to MarcEdit session, suitable for new and experienced users of MarcEdit. In this webinar Ceilan will go through basic alterations to fields in a file of Open Access records, demonstrate practical use of task lists, and will show some fundamentals of regular expressions.


Before the session, please download the MarcEdit software (Downloads – MarcEdit Development) A sample file of MARC records will be shared with registered attendees one day before the event along with the joining instructions.

 

Ceilan Hunter-Green is the Metadata & Discovery Manager: EDI Lead at the University of Leeds Libraries. She worked in Acquisitions, Processing, and Customer Services teams before joining the Metadata team in 2020. Her work covers inclusive metadata, discovery configuration and user experience amongst other topics.
