Date: Tuesday 9th December 2025, 1-2 pm
Presenter: Dalia Kbar
This is a practical workshop showcasing how Python assisted in cleaning and standardising MARC 21 bibliographic records. The session will highlight real-life examples from her project, focusing on before-and-after comparisons of records and demonstrating selected scripts used to detect inconsistencies and correct metadata. This case study offers a practical insight into how simple tools can support metadata quality and compliance with RDA and institutional cataloguing policies.
