Biography

Denise Carter is an experienced and creative Information Professional. Denise has learnt that you can only deliver excellent results in intelligence and information work if you are sure you are answering the right question. She has 30 years of experience in getting to the root of the question and making sure corresponding results truly deliver for customers. Denise started DCision Consult in January 2013 and works with pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients supplying desk research to support competitive intelligence activities. She previously worked as Information Manager for a multi-national pharmaceutical company in Geneva, Switzerland.

Denise is also very active in her professional community of Information Professionals, and has published on different information topics including, increasing the value from secondary data resources, and customer service. She is on the Editorial Board for Business Information Review (Sage). Denise is a past-Chair of CILIP’s Knowledge & Information Management Special Interest Group. She is currently a member of the Project Board for CILIP’s newest registration option – Chartered Knowledge Manager. Denise has presented at international conferences and via webinars.
