 Join our speakers Ayub Khan MBE and John Dolan OBE for a fascinating evening

CILIP International Library & Information Group (ILIG) extends a warm welcome to our next Informal on Wednesday, 18th November 2020. This event will take place online via Zoom. Attendance is FREE but we kindly request that you book in advance 

Ayub Khan MBE and John Dolan OBE share their experiences of working together with the British Council and overseas Governments. What motivates developing countries and international institutions to invest in libraries? What are their aims and aspirations? What were the outcomes, envisaged and realised?

Ayub Khan, Past President, CILIP is Head of Libraries and Culture , Warwickshire County Council has travelled extensively to advise on library innovation overseas while managing an exceptionally successful service in the UK.

John Dolan OBE former Chair CILIP Board, Head of Library Policy, MLA and Head of Libraries and Archives Birmingham City Council is a now a consultant who has worked on national strategies in diverse countries

ILIG Informals are not lectures; they are informal, early evening social gatherings followed by a short talk on a theme of international interest plus plenty of time for questions and networking. They are open to all and absolutely free.
