Rethinking Librarianship with a human touch: experiences of an Indian library professional at IFLA WLIC 2021

27 April 2022 13:00-14:00

Arjun Sanyal, a young library professional from the Central University of Himachal Pradesh, India, the recipient of the 2021 Alan Hopkinson Award, will talk about his experiences of participating in the virtual IFLA WLIC 2021 that emboldened him to rethink the idea of librarianship as a human-centred paradigm underpinned by the notion of social justice and empowerment.

The Alan Hopkinson award will be open again this year, so this is your chance to find out more.   Arjun will encourage delegates and others to follow his path in applying for this year’s Alan Hopkinson award to attend IFLA in Dublin.

ILIG Informals are short talks or presentations on themes of international interest with time for questions.  Attendance is free and open to all, however, please book a place.  You will then be contacted with a link to join the Informal by Zoom.
